Guest Speaker:  Former State Environment Commissioner, Professor Kate Auty.
Professor Auty wrote the most recent State of the Environment report and is now working at Melbourne University exploring the relationship between communities and the environment. Kate is a very insightful woman and engaging speaker ensuring it will be a great night.



The delicious Gippsland Produce Dinner on October 4 will include:

  • Aged Gippsland beef or Mirboo North free range chicken (alternate plates). Maffra pumpkin, pesto & ricotta cheese filo pastry (vegetarian option). Vegetarian and gluten free options available upon request.
  • A shared cheese plate of local cheeses, fruit and crackers, expresso coffee and T2 tea

Managing Wet Soils to Minimize Damage by Livestock. Fri Sept 26 2014

Hear about Chris Johnson and Joe Seawright's experiences of managing their wet soils and river flats for optimum production. By working closely with Melbourne Water and Lancdare, their farm has been transformed with tracks, subdivision, stock containment areas and pasture renovation.
