Sustainability Festival Sun April 13 2014

This year marks the 5th year for the Festival hosted by the South Gippsland Shire Council.

Network Project Officer, Nicole Walsh will be presenting on the Friends of Strzelecki Koalas- Habitat for Life project at 10am.

Visit the Landcare team on the day as we partner with Bass Coast Landcare Network for a day of sustainability, smiles and sun (hopefully)!

Sustainable Farm Practices on Steep Slopes April 28 2014

What: Learn from Bob and Robyn Gray's experiences of running beef, sheep and growing trees as agroforestry on their steep property at Torwood. Guest speakers include: Clinton Tepper of Heatwood Plantations; the tehnical and business aspects of farm forestry and Louise Kerferd of Melbourne Water.

Where: 585 Torwood-Topiram Road, Torwood

Time: 10.30am to 3.00pm

Friends of Turtons Creek Formed

A Friends of Turtons Creek group has recently been formed under the auspice of the South Gippsland Landcare Network.

The Vision for Turtons Creek and the Falls is:

To recognise the natural beauty and heritage values of the Turtons Creek area, and to protect, restore and enhance the area enabling tourism and recreational opportunities that are in harmony with these values.
